What factors affect the charging speed of solar panels?
Although Xtorm's Solar Powerbanks and Portable Solar Panels provide reliable power solutions, several factors can influence the effectiveness of the solar panels, just like any other solar panel. The three main factors are: seasonal changes, time of day, and cloud cover. For instance, in winter, the sun shines about 50% less powerfully than in summer, making optimal conditions for using your Portable Solar Panel occur in the summer. The sun's intensity not only varies with the seasons but also throughout the day. In the early morning and evening, the sun is lower in the sky, resulting in lower intensity. The peak hours for solar energy generation are typically between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Additionally, thick cloud cover can affect charging speed by reducing the amount of sunlight reaching the panels. However, this doesn't mean you can't use your solar panel in winter, on cloudy days, or in the morning. It will just take a little longer for your devices to fully charge.
